A Little Bit About Me!

Hiya lovely people! So a little bit about me…
I have always been passionate about parties and events and have always been very creative and organized. I believe that holding an event to make life long lasting memories with family and friends is so important. With family and friends having fun, dancing, taking photos, chatting, enjoying good food and drinks and lots of great entertainment is such a wonderful thing to see. After working in the industry for several years, gaining experience and qualifications I then decided that as I have always wished to own my own business, I thought I’d go for it! So in mid 2018 I decided to found “A Fortunate Event” to be the one who puts all of this together for my clients so that they have the best events too!

I understand that not everyone can afford to hire an event planner because they are normally way too overpriced and only offer the most expensive packages, so I plan to offer unique, bespoke packages based on your individual needs and budget. To ensure that everyone can get a taste of the luxurious event sector and have someone plan and organize their events, without paying huge amounts.

Over the years I have gained strong relationships with many different incredible suppliers who I trust and use to plan memorable events. This means that I have seen all my suppliers work and only use people who have a genuine passion for what they do, like I do.

Later in 2018, I expanded my business for the first time. I had a lovely company design and make a beautiful hand crafted vintage sweet cart. And since have named this “Freddie’s Cart”, I began visiting several eco friendly markets and joined the sustainhuble pop up shop group. The sweet cart was a great hit and loved travelling around wedding fayres, Christmas parties and fayres, birthdays and even a christening during it’s first year!

What a crazy first year it has been, it’s been magical and I am looking forward to what the future holds.
